Blog About
I created Rose And Oat because I wanted there to be a resource out there that would help people dare to imagine their most beautiful life - what was unique and authentic to them, and then empower them with the tools to go after it wholeheartedly. I love going to the gym and eating my kale salads just as much as the next girl, but - that's not all there is to wellness.
I believe in a holistic approach to wellness, one that takes into account the all and everything each one of us came here to be.
I wanted to create something that would expand accessibility to therapeutic resources in areas like self-growth, health, and psychology to help others learn about themselves, their brains, patterns, to empower them to live all around happier, healthier lives.
Through understanding ourselves – we pave the way for a life filled with true wellness, beauty, and peace.
"Rose" is actually my middle name, and it's also my mom's first name. So there's a personal connection behind the name of this blog, and then there's all this imagery in its metaphor.
Roses symbolize so much: love, beauty, femininity, and raw emotion.
And then there's "Oat". A symbol of sustenance, grounding, and growth, representing the nurturing support needed for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. They can also be seen as symbols of renewal and growth. Just as oats grow from seeds into sturdy plants, they remind us of the potential for growth and transformation within ourselves.
One day I was dealing with this really tough heartache, which at this point in time was a sort of perpetual pain. I was talking to my therapist, who's also this amazing herbalist, and she suggested I take a bath filled with rose petals, rose essence, and oatmeal. (She also recommended I look into drinking hawthorn.)
Honestly, at first, I was kind of scratching my head, wondering why she would even suggest that and what it was supposed to do. But when I actually did it, I kept having this thought, this idea of all these symbols coming together, and it almost spoke to me, like "ground yourself in love", "ground yourself in your own love."
So the blog's name embodies a holistic approach to living with that mantra in mind—a fusion of inner and outer beauty, physical health, and emotional nourishment.
It not only acknowledges the importance of emotional wellness but places it at the forefront.
It hints at themes of balance, harmony, and interconnectedness, inviting you to explore topics related to self-care, wellness, natural living, and personal growth.
The name captures the essence of what the blog aims to offer—stories, reflections, and resources that dive deep into the realms of love, beauty, nurture, and grounding.

Good question! Right now I have plans to keep blogging, eventually expanding content and maybe even doing the youtube thing in the near future. Keep your eyes posted!
